Think-Pair-Share
This activity is good for student interaction. It allows the student to think on his or her own about a question, then students pair up and talk about their point of view on things or what came to their mind about the topic. Finally, the class comes together and shares as a group.

Maps
Maps are a great tool to help kids with geography and math. Gridded maps where the student has to find the coordinates or estimating how large an area is based on the scale of the map are both math related. _Concept/Definition Map
Concept/Definition Mapping is a good strategy for students learning vocabulary terms and concepts in content areas. It takes one word and elaborates on it. For certain words this activity is very beneficial, but not every vocabulary word should be included in this activity.
RAFT
RAFT otherwise known as Role/Audience/Format/Topic is a strategy that works with the role of the writer, audience for the writer, format of the writing, and the topic that needs to be addressed in the writing. This strategy deepens the students understanding of the text.
Foldables
Foldables are a great way to get students actively involved to create something of their own. Foldables can be used with many ages. They can be used for projects, graphs, charts, directions, taking notes and more.

KWL
KWL charts are labeled with What we Know, What we Want to Know, and What we Learned. This can be used for any subject. This is a good organization tool for students to use.
Concept Map
Concept maps are good to use to categorize. It allows children to brainstorm on a piece of paper and record their knowledge of a particular subject. Concept maps show relationships between concepts.
QAR-(Question-Answer Relationships)
QAR's is used to understand questions and help students recognize what type of thinking they are using. It separates the students thinking into four categories. Starting from two categories: "In-the-Book" QARs and "In-My-Head" QARs. "In-the-Book" QARs branches off into "Right-There"- Explicit Answer, "Putting-It-Together" -Constructed Answer, and "In-My-Head" QARs branches off into "Author-and-Me"-Implicit Answer and "On-My-Own"-Schema Answer.

Bingo
Bingo is a fun way for students to learn vocabulary terms in social studies. Bingo can also be used for young students who are learning to read. There are numerous types of bingo games that are useful for children and students of a variety of ages.
Role Playing
Role playing can be used for social studies, science and language arts materials. The teacher can act as a certain role or character and the students will interview the teacher as if he or she was that character. The students would have to come up with good questions. Students can do the role playing as well. The students can be asked some specific questions, and they will have to answer as a specific character or
Word Family Tree
Word Family Trees are presented as graphic organizers and takes one word and elaborates on it. It discovers the root word, its meaning, related words, pronunciation, a clue, related words, an explanation, a sentence, and who would say that word. This is just an example, but it can be expanded or contracted based on the age or level of the student.
History Memory Bubbles
History Memory Bubbles reminds students that history tells a story. A history concept is expanded using Who or What it is, the problems it has, the solution that was or is being discovered and the changes that have been made throughout the years.
Story Map
Story maps are good ways for kids to understand a book or text. Story maps include the title of a book, the author, setting, characters, a problem or problems in a story, events that happened in a story, and a solution of the problem in a story. Story maps are usually used for younger grades so they can organize all of the aspects of a story.

Vocabulary Overview Guide
Vocabulary Overview Guides use clues, explanation and use of specific vocabulary words. Students work on their background knowledge this way instead of using a dictionary. Students can use the selection to look for context clues of the meaning of the word.
